Somatic Coaching

Somatic coaching is an immersive way of teaching through the body.

It teaches you how to recognize and stop your repetitive physical and behavioral responses to pain, stress, anxiety, or sadness – things we learned are “bad” and that we should avoid or control at all costs.

Using breath, movement, touch, and description techniques, you will learn how you are creating your condition, gain the power to make actual changes, and then apply what you learn in your daily life to achieve the results you want. My clients leave each session feeling a difference immediately.

The aim is to empower you to transform self-limiting habits, reactions or beliefs, and accomplish an actual change that appears in your life and body. You learn to use your own strengths and abilities to reach your aims, while simultaneously improving your health, well-being, and self-confidence.

Somatic Coach: Qualified Practitioner of the Grinberg Method®

My life has changed in many unexpected ways since my first Grinberg Method® experience.

What began with a desire to stop chronic neck tension, led me to discover the unhealthy way I learned to tense my body to avoid frightening situations since childhood. By learning to breathe more and stop shrinking in moments of insecurity, I was able to gain confidence instead of trying to control my fear. These simple, physical tools have given me the immense freedom to live the way I want – and not according to others’ expectations.

As my own personal process continues, I learn more how to pay attention to the ways that I keep myself stuck or powerless – and more importantly, how to stop so I can be free from these limitations (like holding my jaw instead of saying what I really want to say or being sarcastic to cover up my vulnerabilities). My self-confidence and happiness are more accessible, pain and stress no longer overwhelm me, and my relationship with my body (and what I have been holding there for so long) has shifted. It’s something unlike any other method I’ve tried.
